Alright, I have a lot of backed up weddings from last year to post, and thought this would be a great time to get them out there, to maybe give some of this year’s brides some ideas….
Chuck and Jen were married way back in August last summer. The wedding was held at Jen’s mom’s house on a lake in south west Michigan (Cassapolis, MI to be exact). It was a very laid back day, with lots of family and friends there to celebrate. My favorite part of the day was when they told me they wanted to go to an abandoned warehouse for their couple pics. I love doing anything different and really like having to mix what most would consider “ugly” with a delicate and beautiful occasion. So I love what we ended up with, and had such a great time shooting!

Jen wore a short Vintage inspired dress that was super cute.
After the ceremony, Jen realized that she forgot to carry the bouquet that her friend had spent all day making for her! Oops! I got some photos of it though, she did an amazing job.
This was the shortest ceremony ever, timing in at less than 4 minutes

Isn’t this place awesome! This is just one building, there were 2 others that we explored as well.
Best thing about abandon spaces…. random furniture.
My fav

It was such a nice lakeside location, and a perfect day.

Ok, these two photos are of Chucks 80+ year old Grandpa, who wanted to sing them a song. He decided to sing Whoopie, which is an old classic that is absolutely hilarious. Everyone was laughing so hard they were crying.
