Demetrios & Gabrielle {Wedding}

Demetrios and Gabi were married last weekend in Indiana in a Big Loud Greek Wedding!  I say loud because nobody was fat, and my ears were ringing for like 2 days after from all the fun Greek music :)  Both families were so welcoming and accommodating and everyone was just ready to have a great time.  The church was ah-maz-ing, I mean look at all of those colors.  The ceremony was straight Greek so it was really interesting to see something different and experience their customs.  There was a lot of circle dancing and money throwing, A LOT of money throwing at the reception, and I always love those pics.  Makes me wish I was Greek so I could have money thrown at me someday :)  Anyway, enjoy the pics!!

Sean & Maggie {Engagement}

It’s been a while since I’ve posted and engagement session, so I thought I would show you Sean & Maggie’s before they get married this weekend.  We scheduled their shoot in Chicago, and it ended up raining all day, but we didn’t really have a reschedule option so we went for it.  We were pretty wet by the end of it, but it was a lot of fun.   A lot of the photos are a little soft due to the water over my lens that I kept having to wipe off between shots :)   They were super easy to shoot and I am looking forward to having some sun this weekend for their wedding photos!

Rob & Jen {Wedding}

Rob and Jen were married this past weekend at the Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak.  Their reception followed at the amazingly beautiful Meadowbrook Hall.  There were so many details put together by Lindsey from Flourish Event Design, I had a field day shooting everything.  Plus there are so many great little areas at Meadowbrook to shoot we were all over the place getting great pics of Rob & Jen.  Jen put a lot of time (with Lindsey) into so many little touches throughout the day, so you will see tons of them below.

Jen had the cutest card for Rob :)

This church has a really interesting shape, and it allowed us to get pics from all angles which was nice.

My favorite part of the ceremony was right after they got to the end of the isle Jen jumped in Rob’s arms and he swung her around.  It was a great moment!

Jen rented this old vintage Challenger as a surprise for Rob.  him and groomsmen spent part of the morning enjoying it and driving around.  Darrell got these great pics of it and some really awesome portraits of them with the car.  I think this next one is a great giant canvas shot for their house….hint hint :)

Meadowbrook is an amazing old mansion with lots of details inside, but we spent most of the time outside on their grounds, where there are places to shoot everywhere you turn.  Lindsey from Flourish Event Design did all of the decor and flowers.  She does such an amazing job, and spends so much time on little details that make everything beautiful and unique.

A personalized entrance into the house, they really thought of everything…..

I have seen these bridesmaids dressed a lot lately and I really really love them  They are by Two Birds, and are convertible dresses, so each girl can wear them in whatever way they feel most comfortable.  They have different fabrics as well, but they are so flawy and comfortable, they could really be work again and again.

Jen had a little typewriter and some postcards for guest to write their marriage advice and congratulations on.  It really went with the vintage theme and was a cute thing to see as soon as you walked into the cocktail hour on the patio.

These were the most beautiful seat markers I have ever seen.  Individual little succulent plants and that cute little yellow flower for each guest.  It marked their table which was named after vintage cars (see more below…)

I mean come on, I have no words for how beautiful the tent was.  So many details, so little time…..

Each table was named after a vintage car, which is really cute, but they took it to the next level and found the actual tags that would go on the back of the cars.  It looks so classic in the mixed frames, and fits in perfectly with the rest of the decor.  Personal touches are always a cute way to mark your tables.

So gorgeous!!!

After dinner they opened up this candy bar, which didn’t last too long.  Even though there weren’t kids at the reception, having all of this candy from our era and before for the grown-ups was really fun for everyone.
