Greg & Alicia {Wedding}

Last week we were at U of M, and this week we joined Alicia & Greg at Michigan State.  I went there for a couple years before I decided to go to Photography school, so I know my way around and it feels a little like home.  They were married in the Alumni Chapel and then we drove around campus to get a few pics before heading to the reception at the Spartan Club inside Spartan Stadium.  It was a really different and cool place for a wedding reception.  We couldn’t go out on the field because they are in the process of revamping and painting, but we were able to get a few shots from the seating section overlooking the field.  The weather cooperated really well considering it rained a few times throughout the day, but we got everything we needed and had some beautiful light!  The party really got going later in the night and everyone had a great time.  Lindsey from Flourish Event Design did all of the decor and the flowers, so take a look at how beautiful it looked!

This is a great moment of Alicia’s sisters putting in her earrings for her  while she gets her makeup done.

People that know me know that I am slightly obsessed with animals.  So if you get ready at your house and have a pet, it is more than likely you will end up with a few pics of them!

They did a first look which worked out great, we needed to use some time before the ceremony to do some family shots before the rain came.  Thanks to that we fit in everything we needed after the wedding, and made it to the reception about 5 minutes before a huge downpour!

The Alumni Chapel at MSU is the cutest little church!  It is especially photogenic in the fall when the vines start wrapping around the building.

So Happy :)

Alicia had some talented family put their stamp on the wedding:  Her mom made this beautiful cake, and her dad made the jam that was the favors.

Lindsey from Flourish Event Designs did all of the decor and flowers.  It was so romantic with all of the candles and the lights turned off.

Darrell grabbed this awesome party shot, he always gets the best ones :)

We couldn’t go outside during sunset because it was all wet, but we were able to get the sunset light through the window.  Gorgeous!!

Kevin & Andrea {Wedding}

Kevin and Andrea were married last Saturday in a slightly wolverine themed wedding :)  It started off in downtown Ann Arbor with a nice short church ceremony, which we followed with a trip to Michigan’s Football Stadium.  Per usual in events like this, everyone scattered once we got there to get their own pics of themselves playing around, but I was able to wrangle them for a few group pictures on the 50 yard line, and playing around in the end zone.  We got everything wrapped up there and headed to the Law Quad for a few more pics, and just when we got there it started pouring rain.  Luckily there was some shelter nearby, but we sort of got stuck for about 15 minutes while one of the groomsmen ran to get some umbrellas from his car.  After transporting everyone to the archway out front, we were able to get a couple nice photos before we had to jump back on the limo and head to the Union for the reception.  It was absolutely beautiful, perfect for any photographer with the high ceilings.  The party was awesome, I have never seen so many guys want to dance the night away.  We got some really great dancing pics.  All in all it was a really fun day and we got to hang out with some really great people. Don’t forget to take a look back and their awesome Chicago engagement session too!  Have fun in Bora Bora….so jealous!!!  I’m off to Greg & Alicia’s Michigan State wedding and reception at the Spartan Club at Spartan Stadium…. it’s quite a football month for me :)

Adam & Lindsey {Wedding}

Adam and Lindsey are the cutest couple and we had such an amazing time hanging out with their family and friends on their wedding day.  They were married a couple weeks ago up in Traverse City at the Boathouse Restaurant.  It was an afternoon wedding, but there was just as much dancing and partying as there is at a late night reception.  After the dinner reception and dancing, they took a small break and met back at the beach for a bonfire and lawn games.  We tagged along and got a few photos of that, and it was really fun.  If you are thinking this format might work for your wedding, DO IT!!  It was perfect :)
